Day 1
Arrival at an ancient Country Relais in the hills of Orvieto behind Monte Peglia, in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Accommodation in standard room, welcome dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Orvieto, a marvellous city perched on a tuff cliff. Meeting with the cycling guide and handover of the bike (or eBike) for the start of the tour, which from the magnificent Piazza del Duomo goes along the cliff offering extraordinary views over the valley of the Paglia river. The route continues along the medieval quarter to admire the 11th-century church of San Giovenale. There is an entrance to the underground city for a guided tour of Orvieto Underground, a maze of caves and wells that run along the entire cliff and end of the tour in an Etruscan wine cellar where excellent local products accompanied by extra virgin olive oil and excellent local wines will be tasted. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel and checkout. Meeting with the cycling guide and handover of the bike for a tour of discovery of the Monte Peglia area: through the Sette Frati Park, you will ascend to an area of rare beauty, recognised by UNESCO as a MAB Reserve for the integrity and conservation of its natural values, which offers breathtaking views of the Tiber Valley and the cliff of Orvieto. In the area there are barbecues and picnic tables for relaxing activities.
