Our itinerary in Recanati will begin in the wide Piazza Leopardi dominated by the Palazzo Comunale and the ancient church of San Domenico, a space completely redesigned for the anniversary of the poet's birth. We'll visit the austere Palazzo Antici, birthplace of Leopardi's mother, in front of which are his elegant stables, while from the top of the ancient tower we can imagine the solitary Sparrow wandering through the countryside in spring. We'll continue with a focus on the city's history in the Vertical Museum housed inside the Torre del Borgo, from which we can enjoy the splendid panorama that sweeps from the Adriatic Sea to the Sibillini Mountains. Finally, we we'll conclude our walk at the Colle dell'Infinito Park with a characteristic path leading to the summit of Mount Tabor, the symbolic and inspirational site of his most famous idyll.
lessThe activity is designed for families, therefore appropriate for children, teenagers and adults. Comfortable clothing and rain gear are recommended.
